　　據(jù)說，中國(guó)的舞獅(lion dance)起源于南北朝(theSouthern and Northern Dynasties)時(shí)期，至今已有一千多年的歷史了。獅子代表歡樂和幸福。在中國(guó)古代，從新年的第四天到第十五天，舞獅團(tuán)會(huì)從一個(gè)村子舞到另一個(gè)村子。獅子本身包含一個(gè)頭和一個(gè)身體。兩個(gè)功夫武術(shù)家(Kung Fumartial artists)可以組成一頭獅子。兩名參與者必須都要有扎實(shí)的功夫才能表演。舞獅的過程中還配有音樂。獅子的每種情緒和動(dòng)作都有自己的節(jié)奏。
